A practice built on two disciplines
I hold both a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and a Bachelor of Dental Science (BDSc) graduating with honours. This dual qualification was a deliberate pursuit of a clinical scope that I believed would allow me to offer patients something more comprehensive, whether they’re sitting in my chair for oral surgery or for facial rejuvenation.
Whilst working as an OMFS Registrar at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, the Austin Hospital and the Royal Dental Hospital, I was able to hone my oral surgical skills from hands-on training under the mentorship of respective Heads of OMFS units at these hospitals. This was followed by long stints working as a Surgical Assistant with these Consultants in their private practices and assisting in over a thousand All-on-4® cases over a twelve year period.
My clinical experience in public hospitals was further enhanced when I worked as the surgical assistant to the Principal of Bond Street Dental for over 14 years, with a special focus on All on 4® cases including zygomatic implants. During this period, I accompanied the Bond Street Dental Team on a study visit to Portugal to undergo further hands-on training in All-on-4® surgical techniques delivered by Dr Paulo Maló himself.
My postgraduate diploma in Anatomy and the extensive further training I undertook to gain Fellowship status with the Internationally Recognised Australasian Academy of Dento-Facial Aesthetics (AADFA) is what shapes my work in facial aesthetics. It’s in the way I read a face, the way I plan a treatment, and the way I understand what sits beneath the surface. One discipline sharpened the other, and my patients benefit from both.

Full-arch implant restoration has been a significant focus of my work for almost two decades.
In 2008, I began working alongside the principal of Bond Street Dental, assisting him on his All-on-4® surgeries. That apprenticeship continued until 2022 and gave me a depth of practical surgical experience that formal training programmes alone cannot replicate.
I also trained directly at the Malo Clinic in Lisbon, Portugal, the practice that pioneered the All-on-4® technique, and worked as part of the surgical team at Malo Clinic Australia.
In 2023, Nobel Biocare awarded me a Centre of Excellence recognition, and that recognition has continued annually. For me, it reflects a standard of practice and a commitment to excellence in All on 4® surgical techniques and outcomes that I hold year on year.
The patients who come to me for All-on-4® surgeries have often been managing significant dental deterioration for years. The decision to pursue a full-arch restoration is rarely a small one. I understand the weight of that decision , and I treat every case accordingly.
My Philosophy and Commitment To Oral Surgery
Good surgery is only half the story for dental implant success. The other half is what happens before you get to the chair, and what happens after you leave it.
I’ve seen what a well-prepared patient looks like going into surgery, and I’ve seen the difference it makes years down the track. That’s why I work with every patient to build the right foundation first, starting with healthy gums and healthy habits. This is why the hygiene care we provide after surgery is an extension of our care.
To support this, I’ve invested in EMS Airflow technology, a sophisticated system that applies a blue dye to reveal bacterial biofilm on the teeth before it forms into plaque, giving both the hygienist and patient a precise picture of what needs attention in real-time. It is very gentle, yet thorough in the outcomes it delivers.
My medical degree and postgraduate diploma in Anatomy means I understand faces differently. Not just the surface, but what’s happening structurally, how tissue behaves, how ageing changes the architecture beneath the skin. That understanding informs every aesthetic treatment I perform. My goal is always to enhance, never to alter.
I’m the only nominated International AADFA Atelier Training Centre in Victoria for facial rejuvenation treatments. That’s a recognition of my high clinical standard and interest to teach others.
